Featured Project: The Purple People Bridge
The GCMGA’s Purple People Bridge Landscape Team designs, installs and maintains gardens all along this pedestrian bridge, its approach ramps, and south plaza area. Each year garden groups and businesses are invited to participate in a planting contest on the Bridge Deck. Master Gardeners are working on the Bridge every week throughout the growing season. Spring planting and preparation is normally done in March, summer planting in May. Fall touches are added in September and all the gardens are put to bed for the winter in November. There are always opportunities for more Master Gardeners to join in the fun at the Bridge!
