Bees and Beekeeping in Cincinnati is the January program with Gene Kritsky, PhD, Professor and Chair of Biology at the College of Mt St Joseph as speaker. Dr. Kritsky is also Editor-in-Chief of American Entomologist. Dr Kritsky is best known as an authority on periodic cicadas. His other buggy pursuits have led him to research the (surprising) history of beekeeping in Cincinnati. He is the beekeeper for the hives at Spring Grove Cemetery.
